Law costs drafting

We are able to carry out your instructions quickly and efficiently with the minimum of interruption for you, saving you time (and money) and removing the hassle of dealing with costs throughout the case. That said, we will naturally keep you involved to whatever extent you wish.

Most of our instructions fall into one of four categories:

Bills of costs, negotiations, attendance at detailed assessment hearings and free advice

We prepare all necessary costs estimates, statements of costs, detailed bills of costs, CLS claim forms and high costs case plans. We offer free costing advice at all stages of your case. We carry out negotiations on your behalf. We prepare appeals to the court and the LSC against provisional assessments. We regularly attend detailed assessments both in our client's local courts and at the Senior Courts Costs Office.

We assign a named draftsman to each case

Each case is assigned to a named costs draftsman who will contact you on the day of receipt of your files to confirm when the work will be completed. We recognise that, in certain cases, circumstances may dictate that work needs to be undertaken on an urgent basis. We will aim to meet your requirements and carry out your instructions as soon as possible. Often our clients indicate in advance when a particular piece of work will be sent and this enables us to turn the files around in one or two days.

Reducing your checking time

All potential queries are identified and we will consult with you in this regard such that when the files are returned you can be confident that the minimum amount of time and effort will be required on your part to check and certify the claim for costs.

In house costing

We are happy to travel to your offices in order to carry out your costing requirements in-house should you prefer. We offer seminars on all aspects of civil costs. This can also serve a very useful purpose in enabling us to crystallise your specific requirements such that we are better able to tailor our approach to meet your needs.
